Jacob Broome, a senior at Cienega High, won the Division 2 boys long jump title with a personal-best 23-0.50 (7.02m) effort in the second round at the Arizona State Championships at Mesa Community College. Broome also cleared 6-2 (1.87m) in the high jump final to secure second place overall, with junior De'mykal Anderson of Sunrise Mountain prevailing on fewer overall attempts.
